Glorp City is a huge community site where everyone can contribute with their own internet page(s)!
Is GlorpCity free?
Yes. By default, you can create up to 500 pages.
Need more? Just contact us on the discord server! We're happy to increase the limit!
Will there be ads on my page?
No, we don't like ads. So we will never put ads on your page!
Why is my page on a different subdomain and not the main domain?
Everyone can add javascript to their pages. We have no way of preventing this.
If we hosted all pages on the same domain as the dashboard, people could use javascript to steal your account token and take over all your pages.
To prevent this, all pages are on a different subdomain.
Account
What is an token?
Each account has a token. This token is basically the password to login to your account. Losing it means losing access to all your pages. If you share your token, others will be able to manage (edit/delete) your pages. Keep it secure somewhere!
What happens if I share my token with someone else?
The person gets full access to your account. This also means they will be able to edit or delete all your pages.
I lost my token! Can I recover it?
No. Currently, it is not possible for us to reset or recover your token. In the future, we might add a security questions system.
Why not simply use username/email with password login?
While most sites use a system where users can login with an username/email combined with a password, we don't have that.
A username/password system also comes with complications, for example:

Expiry
Why does my page have an expiry?
To prevent name claiming, we have an expiry system. Each time you edit a page, the expiry is reset. The expiry depends on the age of the page:
- If the page is under a week old, the expiry is set to 7 days
- If the page is over a week old, the expiry is set to 1 month
- If the page is over 3 months old, the expiry is set to 3 months
What if my page expires?
If your page expires, it is deleted permanently. Someone else will be able to claim the name for their own page.
What are expiry boosters?
An admin can apply an expiry boost to a page. An expiry boost increases the expiry from the default one.
Example: your expiry was set to 7 days. An admin sets an expiry boost of 14 days. When you edit your page, the expiry will be set to 21 days (7 days expiry + 14 days boost)
Page rules
Help, I found a page breaking the rule!
Everyone can create a page. This also means that some people might break our rules.
That's why we have a made a report page. Here, you can report any page breaking our rules.
How long does it take to review a report?
Our goal is to remove a page as soon as possible. Though, in rare cases, it can take up to 72 hours. Our team lives in the Central European Timezone. and are often online from 9:00 - 18:00. Reports made outside this time will be placed in a queue.
Why am I not allowed to host NSFW or adult content on my page?
When browsing a site with adult content, the user is often asked for their age to verify if they are allowed to see the site.
Because all pages are public, we have no way of enforcing this.
This rule might change later, where all NSFW sites would be on a different subdomain.
